Finally, a NEW website!

After six years, I finally have a new website. Let me know what you think!

  1. I like it Peter!! Looks very nice.
Only problem I had with it was the lightbox that opens your image is sometimes much larger than my 15" monitor on my MacBook Pro so I had to scroll right to hit the next link and had to scroll vertically to see the entire image. Otherwise, kickass!

  2. Simply better than the previous one ! And it's so cool to buy your books through the store (What about adding the "Out of Picture/Vol.1". Indeed, you did a story in it. I know this is a collective but fans want to get ALL what you did until now.
And what about a link to www.cartoonbank.com where we can buy your famous New-Yorker's covers ? You even can make a deal with Conde Nast since you would bring clients to their store ;-) Well, it's just suggestions :-)

  3. I really like the look, but in all honesty, it takes a while for everything to appear at first, when all I want to do is show someone one of your drawings real quick and alot of the images are too big for my screen. It all looks really clean and nice though!

  4. Peter, I spent a delightful time scrolling through your work. As Gerald said, adding a link to cartoonbank would be a good idea. Giving the opportunity to purchase an original drawing would be great. In France, we often have a "livre d'or" (golden book) which is a guestbook for you. It's very useful to know visitor's feelings.

  5. Looks great! It makes me look forward to getting your book. One thing, though - it seems like you don't need the alligator illustration in the group of drawings that pop up, since it's already on the main page. Otherwise, I like it a lot.

  6. I love the sketches that precede the alligator before it pops on. Very cool. Over all it's very easy to navigate. Simple and clean. The work speaks for it self. I'm not sure why I got an error when I tried to leave a comment in your contact box:( But it did have spell check which I thought was very cool!

  7. The site looks great, but I agree that it takes a little too long to load. Also, it does seem a little sprawling. I'm on a 1920x1200 24" monitor and it maximized my browser and still seemed huge. 80% of the visitors on my sites usually have a resolution of 1650x1020 or less, so it might be a crunch for some users.

  8. The new site is fantastic! Loading times were fast. Love the intro animation. I have to agree--the big images are nice BUT I had to really open up my browser to it's potential to get the entire view (24" monitor 1920x1200). The site is streamlined and easy to navigate.

  13. Fantastic stuff,Mr. De Seve! I had the pleasure of watching you draw at the CTN expo, which was quite mesmerizing. My only regret was that while I carried your book around with me for almost the entire day,I missed the opportunity to get it signed,as I was in one of the panels at the time you were signing. Any way I could get it to you for a signature? ( would be willing to mail it to you with SASE for return)

  14. Mr. De Seve,
While working at the show, I went for a cup of coffee. As I was returning, I overheard part of a conversation, "And Peter De Seve..."
And, overheard just fifteen steps later, "Peter De Seve will be..."
I think you may have been the star of the show, sir!
    My best regards.
    Peggy

  15. It was great to meet you this weekend at CTN-X. Thanks for the awesome giraffe drawing. The new site looks great! It is nice and simple. Some of the images load a bit larger than my monitor but other than that it looks very nice.

    Take care!

  17. I like the new website. good stuff. As with Louise, the images are a bit large - but only on one of the monitors I viewed it on. it was great meeting you at the CTN-X. You remembering my name was awesome! It's a new goal for me - remember more people's names.
